Today I plonked down and did something nice and simple and illustrative. I didn't have to worry about tone or realistic reflective color. It was nice!

The painting is now finished and is being varnished but the WIP is rather interesting all on it's own. And I feel ashamed at how little I have to show.  I had a painting just die die die today--my whole day's work is now a blob. Lame! But that's the way art is sometimes.

My setup is not at all pretty or interesting. I just plunk down on the floor and get it done. It works just fine.

Commission images and sketchbook

The last two nights my insomnia has lifted just a little, not enough to get a full night's sleep, but at least enough not to feel like my eyes are rotting out of my head. The difference is amazing. I WANT to work on art rather than having to force myself every step of the way.

Hello, patrons!   I am afraid to say I have been struggling to exist lately.  Trying to get out of the house to do things has thrown me into panic mode.  My sleep has tanked and when I'm awake I'm too busy picking all my skin off and feeling like a lunatic to get things done. ...

Beach photos

I made it out to the coast yesterday and spent a little while trying to find compositions with my phone.  Nothing fancy, but it helps me to come at it from both directions--the made compositions of artwork and the found compositions of photography. 

Some future ideas

I've got to get back to doodling and getting my Brain Stuff out, but it's hard when it's not something one can really post to places that move at the speed of light like Twitter. It's just not PRETTY enough.

Hey guys. I've bene having some really miserable sleep and along with it being my and my BEFA's birthday weekends I've been p busy. Busy or DEAD. But once we've finished celebrated getting older I'll be back to work.
