What have I got going on today!

I'm working on a few digital paintings that are inching along: the red dragon, the couple at the hot springs, the winged figures. I hope to finish them this week.

Here's some new stuff. Firstly, a real media painting-to-be. I am aware that the circular motion in the lower right is VERY distracting and works against my purposes, so I'm going to change that.

Bowser: IDK just some bowser.

Some thumbnails of potential future work. I'll try fleshing them out and seeing if I still ike them.

A new drawing for Talin, gratis, because he's such a good commissioner.

And then Liefeld. OH BUDDY, Liefeld. This is not the usual haha-look-how-crazy-his-drawings-are take so much as me marveling that he could warp figures SO much and still make SUCH a killing. I'm so envious of his moxie! I wish I had even a fraction of his self-assurance.

Part of it is his being a white dude coming into comics at JUST the right time, but part of it is just like, accuracy really isn't as important as a lot of people think it is? And striving for accuracy has gotten me into the weeds more than once. I'd probably be happier if I ditched the impulse and went wild with the tone of an image. Which I try to do, but then I get bogged down in accuracy again. D8 It's a sickness!
