As someone who was told in 2014, "We're not sure you're going to make it through this emergency surgery, but we're going to do our very best for you, and we've got a great team," I can relate, Noah. I couldn't say anything to the doctor, because I was already on a respirator, but I patted the doctor's hand, nodded, and gave him the thumb's up. And I remember thinking, "Hey, if this is the end, at least I'll be unconscious when it happens."
