I remind myself that my relationship is with the Noah Lugeons in my head. I love having a para social relationship with a Gen X Atheist who survived the 80's AND the Spanish Inquisition rather than the multiple hateful people who consume space in my mind.

2024-04-06 15:47:21 +0000 UTCAs I listened to the diatribe this week, I came to think of my own controversial opinion on transpeople, I don't believe in transpeople. And before you ignore or block me, hear me out. I respect your chosen name, and I also respect your personal choices of appearance and hobbies. What I believe however, is that gender norms is at fault, i don't believe men are women just because they like dressing up, showing emotions or using make up, or even if they take on the traditionally more feminine work positions, I will not look down at you for that, you do you. However, I will refer to you as "Him", as I believe that gendered language is descriptive, and that you don't choose pronouns. With all that said, my position on the segregated bathrooms and dressing rooms, is that they should remain anatomical, as in, if against what I believe, you do decide to have "gender affirming" operation, then, until you do, you should still use the bathroom or dressing room of your biological gender. The reason for this isn't malicious however, I prefer if everyone is comfortable in these private spaces, so for dressing rooms, it doesn't matter what you believe or feel, if you go in and undress, and are of the opposite biological gender, you will make at least one other person uncomfortable, whether it's because they get awkward biological reaction or embarrassed from sudden exposure of an unfamiliar body. And when it comes to bathrooms, there are designs of toilets and seats that are designed with body type in mind, such as wider seats, lower water, different tilts of the front, etc etc, that are rarely in use today in most countries admittedly, but, mixing the toilets will deny future possibility of making a comfortable toilet experience in public spaces. (Though I personally do prefer just stalls or mixed toilet, I want it clear that if you do split the toilets by gender, then do it right.) And lastly, I mentioned that I will call you by preferred name, that's totally your choice, because you didn't choose your name the first time, and I'm also all for having any name, without gender in mind, I will call you by your chosen name if you so desire. Conclusion: I do agree that the whole physique in sport, gendered teams and risk of assault is complete nonsense made to scare people into becoming transphobes, but, I also want people to stop exaggerating the movement, the way it's moving now is quite dangerous, and misguided in my opinion. Gender isn't on a spectrum, social norms is. Be yourself, but don't call yourself what you want, it just becomes confusing.

He’s recently done a ton of really good YouTube essays, and the more “reaction” style videos that revolve entirely around debunking ghost hunting videos and ghost hunting shows. I don’t agree with EVERYTHING he says, but he’s definitely solid. And he does it all in a very approachable, and often humorous manner.

As far as I know, she only ever paid for one tour, but she seems really to believe it. Maybe if I find out she's going to do another tour, I should refer her to segment C of this episode? Any input would be appreciated.
