After getting back the latest test prints for Series 3, which instead of doing as 2 page spreads they did as single images with the large white bleed, they reminded me of art prints which would frame up beautifully. I'd love to get a couple done, and maybe even post it as a purchase option.

Hot off the press the latest test prints for the book. Still trying to get the colour balance right, mainly in the dark areas but we are getting close. All images have been selected and layouts done. So once we finalise the colour and another QA pass on test we should be good to go!

Made a promo video for book just so i have something easily reshareable over the next month.
Should be getting more test prints today or tomorrow. That test a number of ways to render text and handle the darker images which were a bit to dark after printing.

Today I got my first test pages back. We had 4 images (pages) on different weighted stock and with different finishes, as well as cover stock and varnish finishes.
Highlighted some issues with darker images as well as the way I'm covering text doesn't seem to work well with their process, but...
Posting about the book publicly tonight probably with a link to this expression of interest site which I can use in a month or so to advertise preorders and determine numbers.
Hopefully looking at a couple of page samples today on different stock, very exciting.

Building up the light in this shot, starting with the key light which is a 80cm octo softbox, added a blue gelled reflector to the left of shot, them a red gelled reflector to the right of shot, and added smoke in post because we didn't have a smoke machine to use.
