At this point where we are at in the show is the same part in the comic where The Governor cut Ricks hand off but the show didn't want to go down that route because CGI cost at the time so each season after this episode ricks hand is always bandage up and hurt

I would last second still be able to put a hand over my mouth. I would NEVER cough blood directly into someones face. All that to say, I am sure this was part of the script and writing.

Are y'all really lacking empathy or are y'all just joking around? All doc did was try to save lives. Hershel was already fully exposed before the cough.
