Five (very rough) composition thumbs

Trying to think about circular composition plus just putting something down.
I have a really hard time with either focusing so hard on composition I become completely disconnected from the subject and intent, or getting so into the subject I fail to focus on composition. One is supposed to inform the other, but I'm just not balancing them very well yet.
I might not be giving each stage enough time. I feel like I have to make things to upload NOW NOW NOW rather than just spending a day on ideas and the next on composing those ideas. It's a bad mindset to fall into that I feel is largely driven by the quick speed of the internet. Plus, you know. Capitalism.
