Charlé Jay - The Parlor
Added 2024-12-14 00:45:00 +0000 UTCToday I got a reminder of a shoot I did with Charlé almost exactly two years ago at Misty's old retro-house and, as you can see, we've got Charlé back and in Misty's NEW retro-house! I was noting to my wife when I setup my shoot date with her that she's been only been visiting CA once a year, and it's always in the beginning of December. I also shot with her this time last year in the studio, and we were going to meet up there for a couple more scenes but I ended up having to call it off and take care of a sick family member (they're fine btw). With Charlé, the bigger the audience, the better she models. She'll almost always have either someone there with her or someone on facetime, usually the girlfriend of the year, and she just eats up all that attention energy and puts it all in her show.
For this scene, she had this bodysuit from an amputee leopard and I added the boots and the fur scarf from my collection. The scene had a LOT of samey colors so I anticipated that the scarf and boots would make her silhouette pop off the frame more. Using my Canon 85mm 1.8 on this with the gold mist filter over top, because why not add more warmth? This is probably my favorite from this backdrop, having shot both Paige and Fionna here (35mm daytime, 50mm FD nighttime, respectively), I just feel like I finally nailed the correct combo of lens, lighting, and attitude with Charlé.
