I used a sun tracking app to get an idea of how and, most importantly, when to shoot in this bedroom. The window wasn't exactly big, and the angle would have to be usable. We were fortunate on the latter, but it was going to be tight squeeze. I set like two timers and an alarm and got Alice in this room at exactly when the sun was shooting across the bed, but before it was blocked by the neighboring building's roof. I felt gangster as fuck for pulling it off, too.

Alice deserves much of the credit. Just before the shoot, as the sun was juussstt coming up the other side of the bed, the room's vibe did a hard shift from 'sunny afternoon' to 'dreamy dusk'. She saw herself in the mirror against the backdrop and let out a gasp at how dreamy it looked and was completely sold on the look. Not that she wasn't before, but it's better that than to hear "okayyy I trust your vision" which is some of my top feedback haha.
