Lahanna - Chaise

Heather helped set everything up with her… not that I couldn’t, but she has had an agreement that prevented her from shooting with like 50% of photographers haha. We were supposed to shoot nude, but her situation changed when she got on set. Still, we got some great sets, and it was good catching up after almost two years. If her situation ever changes, I’ll be throwing down cash for a solid location immediately. Until then, we’ll enjoy what we got!
For this set I stuck with the Sony FE 55mm 1.8. Clean, sharp, just enough compression to keep things flattering without feeling too tight (also didn’t have time to juggle lenses since she had to leave early… on top of everything else lol fuuu). Slapped on a gold mist filter to keep the warmth and texture intact, especially since I wanted her tattoos to pop without looking too harsh. Natural light did most of the work with an Amaran T2C as a subtle fill. Just enough to keep depth without killing the softness. Too much artificial light and the mood is gone, too little and the tattoos start blending into her skin. The gold mist filter saved me here, keeping things balanced without oversharpening. No strobes, no hard modifiers, just careful feathering to keep the depth feeling natural. Exposure had to stay dialed in so her ink stayed crisp without taking over the shot. Simple setup but it worked exactly how I needed it to. Oh and I had an Amaran B7c bulb in the lamp behind her. Love how the color flattened out in post.
