From the haunting Memories of Murder to the slapdash Okja, Bong's work is uniquely watchable, yet always thought-provoking.
In 2006, he released a film about a terrible monster emerging from the depths of the Han River as a result of chemical pollution, triggering a viral pandemic that the corrupt government, over-influenced by American military interests, struggles to address. That film is called The Host, and for absolutely no reason, we decided this would be our Movie Night Movie for March. Go ahead and watch it.
