You end up in an Andrew Camarata situation where the parts truck is better than the truck you are fixing so you just drive the parts truck.

Heh. If the frame can't handle that we have serious problems!

Correct. I'm just covering the logo so I don't have to blur it out.

Another Win for Wes. The diagrams are a real help - together with the knowledge and experience! Thank you.

I'm partially surprised that "frame swaps" are not more common in road salt by the ton country. Other than a decent frame probably also has better bodywork, too.

Indeed, a forklift is a great tool. Mind, seeing the forks lifting what was a very rusting frame gave me a pause.

Good exam0le of why "parts cannon" is not the best approach to repairing older vehicles.

Thanks Wes for yet another great video . I agree those engines are all heading to the scrap yard.

I'm pretty sure these engines were never sold in my country, nevertheless I enjoyed watching you go through the methodical process of diagnosis as well as the theory and operation. I always enjoy time in your virtual company Wes!

I think he's concealing a company logo or some other detail that could be used to link the truck to an owner.

I agree on present truck prices but they throw money at big tires, tuners, all the goodies and ignore the structure holding the whole thing together.

Any clue as to the red towel hanging through the window? Fear of scratching the paint on that rust bucket?

Hello Wes, have an unrelated question. Do you still have the donkey-powered internet and have you considered Starlink? if you ever try it please make a video; also what ever happened to your "trickle down" RAV-4? Thank you for the great content.

I have a 2000 Chevy Blazer, that I've had since new. It's never needed any major repairs, just routine maintenance. I wouldn't have any qualms about paying $1 - 2k for repairs, because I haven't had to pay for a new car and a car loan. If the underside of my Blazer looked like that truck, I'd send it to the crusher.

Ah Sunday morning cartoons. It's interesting you say these are all but gone by you. Maybe it's the more populated area in NE wisco, but a lot of 16-21 year old kids seem to start with a right of passage "bro truck" / "bro dozer" with a 6.0 Ford. Seems they might just keep these on the road a few more years, till even the angst of rebellious teenagers with pseudo unlimited parts money fixing stuff that is not fiscally responsible can't keep them running. Lots of elbow grease into keeping what paint is left shiny, slapping cheap lift kits, tuners, big wheels and tires worth more than the truck, and 4" exhaust to 12" tips here on 6.0s here.

People may wonder why they throw money at it but when you look at truck prices theses days, do you blame them?

Wes, You're so brilliant. Everyone else f**ks up and then they bring it to you because they know you can fix it. I do hope you charge accordingly.

So do you ever tell the customer how bad the rust is underneath or do you just hand them the keys and send them on their way?
