[Update] State of Projects 9/28

Burn out is real.

Over the past nine or so months since I started writing and put together this page, I've been writing. Writing and writing and writing. I've always been a prolific writer. I write fast and extensively (if not very consistently).

I started with a couple of series and have since expanded to multiple series and works. Continuations. Commissions. One Shots. Collaborations. I've taken on project after project because my ADHD addled brain can't stay focused on just one thing.

To let you in on a little bit of how I write, it's often based on mood (if not necessity when it comes to having a commission deadline) and so I will sit down and just begin. Sometimes I'll write out 2k words within a couple of hours. Sometimes only a couple hundred. Very often I won't simply sit and write on one story/chapter. I will bounce between two or three. This helps keep me engaged but can be exhausting. Add on top of this my home life and full time job as well as other responsibilities and you can see how I can get overloaded.

On top of alllllll that, I read. I read other Literotica stories and series. Other authors works on Patreon (some I'm collaborating with). Plus, I read other things for fun. So, if I'm not careful, I get overwhelmed, overloaded, and it all comes in and begins to crush me.

This is what I've been experiencing this month. I've still been able to put out some stories as you've seen, but my main series have suffered because of my inability to focus and the pressure of wanting to put something out that I'm proud of and you readers will enjoy.

I've said once that I'm not a vending machine. This means I can't just crank out whatever it is someone wants whenever they want. However, there is one sense where I'm like a vending machine, I'm sold out. Press the button, and there's nothing there.

No don't freak out. This doesn't mean I have no more words or stories to write. I do. Lots. I just need a recharge. To be refilled. Not just for my creativity but for my mental health.

So what does this mean for all the projects I have going on?

In real terms, it just means there's gonna be a bit of a gap right now for some of the things I know people are eager for. And for this I apologize. But I know you want something good! Something sexy and fun and meaningful. And that's what I aim to give you. So please give me the grace and the patience to recharge myself a little and get out the work that you deserve to read and I want to write.

I'll do my best here to summarize all of the things I have going on and give you an idea of where the project stands as usual. It may not be as detailed as I try to be though.

Cuckold Consequences - A pivotal chapter is on the way but may not get done till end of October

Our Evolving Marriage - The "Final" chapter is being reworked

What's Left Unsaid - This series is shorter and easier to write quickly. It will remain on schedule of one chapter a week for the foreseeable future.

Trinity - Taking a minor break but hopefully will have a new chapter out by end of October

Neighbor's Only Fans - Still On Hold. Haven't been able to crack the code on this.

NC AU Amber's Birthday Weekend - Chapter 3 is out. Chapter 4 in the works.

Penny's Predicament - Chapter 4 is in the works

Collaborations - I've got a couple collaborations I'm working on here and there with some excellent authors. I hope to give them more attention soon.

Commissions - I've gotten a couple new requests recently, one of which I'm working on and another which I'll start in October.

One-offs - I have several works that I've begun but haven't gotten far on. In the case of these. I might end up doing a poll to see what people might be interested in so I can give myself a hierarchy of projects to work on. Keep a look out.

As you can see, I have quite a few things I'm working on. And I haven't even listed out all of them (there's at least 2 commissions, one that's multiple chapters, as well as four or five other one off projects). Its a tendency I have to overload myself so I'm working on organizing things to have a better output.

I can't express my appreciation for all of you that read my work, give me encouragement and engage in spirited (and polite) debate over characters and motivations. There's a great deal more to come as I'm always thinking of new things to write and explore. But first, let's clear my slate of projects I've got going on before I add even more and end up breaking my back.

Be on the look out for more stories and chapters to come. I apologize for any long waits you may have for the works you love the most. But I assure you, things will be getting done as quickly and with as much quality as possible.
