Hi everybody,
the first batch of the release is here! The structure of the Magic Item Shop is finished, test printed and uploaded with instructions and supports. This month took me a long time to finish the building itself because I wanted to try a more complex structure and to include a new quality-of-life option that some of you have asked: split tiles that allow for better playability/visibility at the table.
These split tiles have a bottom part that works with the OpenLOCK system, and an upper part that can be removed when fights start so that everyone at the table can see what is happening without standing up or going around the building. These upper parts can also be switched between tiles, which creates an extra layer of customizability and variation. In the future it will be possible to combine lower and upper parts from different sets to produce a huge variety of buildings!
As always these buildings come with more options that what you see in the render: there is a large set of internal walls, for example, that can be used to make any tudor style interior (with updated textures, btw!). You can modify the structure of this building quite easily by adding back rooms, cutting the tower, increasing its height or adding three additional towers... You know how it goes, options are endless!
The instructions also have a searchable/copyable PDF options for easier access to the right parts in the folders.
You can find all of these in the Patrons only post.
Furniture, Mimics and the Magic Objects themselves are coming soon. I am in the process of finishing them up since making and test printing the structure took me a long time. I find myself finishing a release at the end of the month. This has been happening for a while now, and that's why I am planning to take December off or, in other words, I'll be working on the January release during December, so that it will be published the first day of 2023. This means that in December you will not be charged by Patron.
In pratical terms, you'll be charged in November for a release that will presumably be done close to the end of November itself (the Upper Deck of the Airship) as usual. Then you'll be charged in January, instead of December, for the release that will be available from the 1st of January. It basically means postponing the release of one week (and being charged when the release is available rather than 25 days prior to that), but it allows me to go back on track - and look more professional XD
People that join during December will receive the Airship (since December will basically be "an extended November"), but I'll also be releasing a few weird ideas that have been floating around my head for a while and that would not fit a complete release (also maybe a small sci-fi scatter terrain piece?).
That's it, I wanted to give the information as early as possible so that you know what will be happening. I really think that this will improve the page's quality of life. I'm happy to clarify if something is unclear :D
Thanks for the patience, and thanks for answering to the general poll: I will treasure the feedback (thanks for the kind words!).
Finally, thanks for the support. I can't ever say that enough. If this is possible it is thanks to you all.
Let me know what you think, and now back to sculpting!
I wish you happy hobby time :D
