Lemme know what you think! I'm planning on premiering it on friday woooo!!! I would have released this a few weeks earlier but I shared my video with a treasured source and they told me that I completely got side tracked by my rag/dishcloth obsession and forgot the thesis of my video! So I filmed a whole new scene nearing the end to give more context. You will know which scene it is because i'm a different character.
One thing i've been struggling with is knowing who my videos are for. I am very obsessed with the normie podcast "Stuff You Should Know" and I find it an honourable existence to teach people strange and interesting things. This concept however, feels directly contradictory to being an artist. At least, my schooling of being an artist. I find when I make a video where I want to teach people something I try to abstract my thesis and muddy the waters so it feels more like "art" to me. This does not seem like a healthy relationship to art and I want to repair that. I think the only way to do that is by affirming that "art" is whatever I say it is. I have an easy time doing that with silly things, but for some reason when I am being sincere and want to teach something real, I feel embarrassed or like i'm being "cringe". If I am cringe, so be it.
Side note, I am currently reading the Sabriel book series and am blown away by it!
