What Do You Think About Dumped Torrents?

I wanted to take a moment to talk about the “dump” feature I rolled out a few releases ago and get your thoughts on it. For those who’ve been using it, the dump feature creates a new `dump` directory on your mount where you can find content from zurgtorrent files. The idea was to foster a community space for sharing these files and helping each other build our libraries—kind of like DMM’s hashlists, but specifically for zurg.
When I first launched it, I thought it was a solid idea, but I’ve realized it wasn’t as polished as it could be. Everything ended up piling into one big directory, and there was no repair option, so if something broke, it stayed broken. Not ideal, right?
Now, I’m curious—how useful do you find the dump feature? Is it something you regularly use, or does it feel more like extra clutter in your setup? Your feedback is really important to me and will help decide whether to keep refining this feature or consider removing it altogether.

2024-10-27 18:13:11 +0000 UTCi think the idea is great it just needs some love. repair capabilities: maybe all 'issues' are solvable just by importing any existing dumped that are missing from RD back into RD? whether it's automatic or by button this way it could also function as a backup (especially important with the false shared account rd bans rn)
