April Release Notes

First of all, thanks for your continued support while I grind away on the codebase. I am not able to reply to each one of you but I'm sincerely grateful to the support I've received. As always, please ping me on Discord if anything feels off.

Here’s a concise rundown of what changed since the March 19 post.

DMM

Scraper overhaul: rebuilt from scratch; fresh torrents should now appear noticeably faster.

DMM's own “Instant” RD cache has a caveat: some torrents still start at 0 %. The amount of torrents in that database is just too much for the worker that checks if it's still cached or not. I will need to purchase more RD accounts in order for it to catch up. This issue is being monitored.

AllDebrid on hold: I’ve stopped maintaining the AD code path. Might revive it if enough folks speak up, but for now assume it’s broken.

zurg

New Clear Downloads button in zurg's dashboard utilities. If a torrent plays in DMM but not in zurg, hit this first. 9 times out of 10 the unrestricted link it cached is stale. I've noticed this when I keep getting this issue of Plex scanner being stuck on an item.

Trash feature removed. Deleting a torrent now immediately wipes its .zurgtorrent file. Back up your metadata if you like to keep history.

Extra delete-related logs so you can finally see why something vanished.

Planned change: media info filters are going away; tags will do the heavy lifting instead, which should shave memory usage. Moving to tag-only filtering may break some library configs out there.

Work in progress: STRM file handling, specifically, making sure media info in Emby and Jellyfin doesn’t reset on every Zurg restart.

Roadmap

Finish the STRM feature quirks.

Remove media info filters to optimize memory usage.

Decide the fate of AllDebrid - your feedback will steer that call.
