^ I donโt disagree with you on that. But my mom is the โif you donโt stop crying Iโll give you a reason to cryโ kind of mom๐ญ. I love her to death but being brought up like that definitely makes you suppress emotions.

2023-05-24 17:18:56 +0000 UTCmy dad grew up in jamaica until he was 9 when my gramma moved him and my aunt to the states. i can confirm as a firsthand witness that it is the mamma's who are toughening up the men, lol. after i came out as a trans man she didn't hesitate with me eitherโ i was no longer allowed to cry in front of her, and i didn't even care because she was treating me like the other men in my family. my gramma is easily the strongest woman i've ever known โ๐ผ regardless of if we agree or not, these women are trying to raise us to be the best version of ourselves and i'll never fault them for that

2023-05-24 15:57:12 +0000 UTCi think the only moments i cried in One Piece was Merry's sendoff and when Dadan faced Garp about Ace after Marineford. I tend to be more sad about the impact/aftereffects of character deaths rather than the actual event cuz im too busy being shocked lol
