New announcement about the current series

I have two pieces of news!

The first news is, I got a new job to solve the living issue! (Sort of outsourcing work related to comic content)

The second news is that the TES x Diablo series that I'm currently drawing ends this week. :(

That TES x Diablo series was aimed at the TES fandom, but this project hadn't had many advantages in making TES fans my Patrons who support me. I couldn't get much response from fandom(although the reaction from a few fans who liked the settings/lore was good), and there was almost no influx of new Patrons from fandom, so I felt like I needed to start something new to get living money.

Even though I was getting the donations from the two crowd funding sites, contributions decreased by over half by long project preparation and were insufficient to support my living. (The job I was lucky to find was also more difficult than I thought, so I couldn't dare to think run the series simultaneously with that job.)

Nevertheless, I could have been able to create works so far has been greatly helped by many supporters who have been my Patrons since two years ago.

I wanted to come back with great work, but I'm sorry to disappoint you all Patrons like this. I haven't officially signed a contract with a client yet, so I'd like you open for sketch commission for you guys in this easy month. The sketch commission will have a discount for my dear patrons for only 30$ (normal 50$)

소식 두 가지가 있습니다!

첫 번째 소식은, 몇 일 전 괜찮은 일거리를 얻어 생계비 걱정은 해결이 되었다는 것입니다!

(만화 컨텐츠 관련 외주들을 맡게 될 예정입니다)

두 번째 소식은, 현재 진행중인 TES x Diablo 연재작은 부득이하게 작품종료에 들어가게 되었다는 점입니다.ㅜㅜ

TES 팬덤을 노리고 만들어진 작품이지만, 아무래도 이번 콜라보 프로젝트는 팬덤의 관심과 후원을 이끌어내기엔 큰 메리트가 없었던 것 같습니다.

호응도 거의 없다시피 할 정도로 끌어내지 못했고(설정을 좋아하는 팬들로부터의 반응은 좋았지만), 신규 후원자 분들의 유입도 거의 없다시피 할 정도였죠... 생활비/창작지원금을 얻을 수 있는 새로운 것을 시작해야 할 것 같았습니다.

두 크라우드 펀딩 사이트들의 원조금을 받는다 쳐도, 연재준비기간 동안 반 토막 나버린 후원금으로 제 생계를 지탱하기엔 금액이 너무나도 빠듯했습니다. (운 좋게 구한 일자리의 업무 난이도 또한 생각보다 높은 편이라, 외주 일을 하는 동시에 지금 하고 있는 프로젝트의 연재진행을 이어나가기엔 무리가 있다고 여겨졌습니다.)

그럼에도 불구하고 돈 되는 샛길로 빠지지 않고 계속 작품활동을 진행해올 수 있었던 것은, 작년-재작년부터 저를 지켜봐 와주신 많은 후원자 여러분의 도움이 너무나도 컸습니다!

멋진 작품으로 다시 찾아 뵙고 싶었지만, 여러분을 이렇게 실망시켜드려서 죄송합니다.

아직 클라이언트 측과 정식으로 계약은 맺지 않은 상태라, 이번 달 여유기간을 살려 후원자 분들만을 대상으로 염가 스케치 커미션을 받아보려 합니다. 50$(정상가) -> 30$(할인가)
