Forgotten Truth, the War King, the First Progenitor of the Strike the Blood world. He was the ruler of the Eastern European Night Empireâs War King Domain and a vampire overlord commanding 72 Familiars.
These were the worldâs evaluations of him. He was hailed as the invincible vampire progenitor. He believed that himselfâuntil today.
Before him stood a man clad in black armor, wielding a massive, ominous greatsword. The aura surrounding this man was so dark, so wicked, it seemed even more malevolent than his ownâthe king of the night. How... how could that be?
Lying at his feet was a fallen vampire. One of his own. An ancient noble of the vampire race, yet just now, with a single swing of that sword, this elder was struck downânever to rise again.
âWho are you?â the War King asked. Although the man before him exuded a terrifying presence, years of experience allowed the War King to remain composed.
âYou are the king of this country,â the man responded coldly. His voice was like the icy winds of hell, chilling to the bone. This wasnât just the influence of the Evil of All the Worldâit was Arthurâs own dark nature surfacing.
âDing-dong. Detected a Heroic Spirit entering this world. Please resolve the issue, host.â
The systemâs voice echoed in his mind, yet Arthur was too immersed to even hear it.
Arthurâs current attributes were as follows:
Character: King Arthur
Alignment: Lawful Evil
Stats:
Strength: A+
Endurance: A++
Agility: A+
Mana: A (upgraded after the previous mission)
Luck: A+
Terrifying stats indeed! Under the dual amplification of the Evil of All the World and the power of faith, Arthur radiated immense, horrifying power.
âThatâs right. Who might you be, sir?â the War King demanded, regaining his pride. He was the ruler of this land, commander of countless warriors.
âSubmit, or die!â Arthur declared without hesitation. Perhaps only darkness remained in his heart now.
âWhat?â The War King acted as if he hadnât heard.
At that moment, a beam of green light streaked toward Arthur. Though it looked like mere light, it concealed roaring flames! The green fire was fastâblindingly so. Most wouldnât even register it. But Arthurâs agility?
The flame passed clean through Arthurâhis body vanished.
An afterimage.
âWhere are you looking?â Arthurâs voice came from behind. âWhen did heâ!?â The War King couldnât finish his thought before Arthur drove a heavy punch into him.
Boom!
The vampire was sent crashing into a nearby wall.
Boom!!
Seeing his foe still alive, Arthur followed up with another strike. A spiderweb of cracks appeared across the wall, growing rapidly.
Crash!
The wall collapsed completely, burying the vampire beneath.
âIt seems I must intervene now.â A voice rang out.
From the shadows stepped a handsome blond man in a pristine white suitâDuke Dimitrie Vatler.
âWho might you be, sir?â
âArthur Pendragon.â Arthur replied plainly. An interesting opponent had finally appeared.
âVery well. Iâll remember that name,â Vatler said, a manic glint in his eye. His elegant face twisted slightly with excitement.
âBut whether you can make me remember it foreverâŚâ
Vatler grinned madly.
ââŚdepends on whether you can defeat me!â
A surge of magical energy erupted from Vatler. Compared to the last vampire, his aura was more than twice as intense.
Since this was a true battle, he would go all out. He had no idea how strong Arthur truly was.
âSagara!!â
With his command, a massive Familiar emerged from his body. A giant serpent covered in thick scales!
Hiss!!!
The serpent hissed, unleashing a powerful sonic wave. The sound ripped through the air, sending Arthurâs hair flying. The ground cracked beneath themâfloor tiles shattered and flew through the air like blades, embedding into the walls, accompanied by a blast of magical energy.
This was the power of a Familiar.
âHahaâŚâ Vatler bit his lip. Thisâthis was a real fight!
Arthurâs hair suddenly stopped swaying, frozen in place. Disdain flooded his eyes.
âSo you want to challenge me? Then why not go and meet your god directly?â
âSorry. I donât believe in God!â Vatler laughed wildly.
âGo! Sagara!â
Hiss!
The serpent lunged forward, magical energy spewing from its fangs.
Arthurâs eyes narrowed. A swirling wind surged around his body.
The magical blast collided with Arthurâs Wind King Barrier, the clash sending up bursts of light and clouds of dust.
âIs it over?â murmured several watching vampires.
âIt must be! Besides the King himself, who could withstand the Dukeâs attack?â
They stared at the arena, tension dissolving.
Suddenlyâa shadow emerged from the smoke!
Arthur landed directly in front of Vatlerâand delivered a devastating punch!
Vatler was launched through the air. When he landed, his once-dignified appearance was ruinedâhis white suit torn, blood staining the corners of his mouth. The blow had been incredible.
But instead of rage, excitement lit Vatlerâs eyes.
âNow this is getting interesting!â he shouted.
His magical aura roared in response to his thrill.
âNanda! Upananda!â
Two more colossal serpents materialized in a blue glow. The three serpents twisted around each other in mid-air, gradually merging.
A giant sea serpent now hovered before them.
âHas Vatler finally used his trump card?â The War King, observing from behind, muttered. He understood this subordinate well. Vatler craved challenges. If the War King stepped in now, heâd only anger him.
All eyes turned to Arthur.
Could he still defeat Duke Vatler now?
