I usually just keep my comments to myself because I know I will just make more problems for myself than I am solving, but in this particular situation it's not black and white at all and I am tired of people acting like we are going to get past this without a rise in violence. American democracy died on July 1st 2024 the moment SCOTUS said that the president cannot be tried for any official acts. That makes the president a King. Trump has aligned himself with the proud boys, alt-right and project 2025 to name a few, do you really want this guy, who he himself has called his political opposition "vermin" and that he would be a dictator on day one for one day to be the president with King powers? The moment SCOTUS screwed the republic, the first thing on my mind was "Well this is going to get violent now..." and well here we are. You can't tell people we are a country of laws then say that the president is above the law. This is the exact constitutional crisis that was being talked about for all of 2020+ and boom it happened. If law and order is not restored there will be blood shed. It's the only thing left when your opposition has its fingers in its ears and isn't listening. Republicans don't want to negotiate, they want to dictate. So calling Trump a threat to democracy is absolutely accurate and he should be called out for his Nazi rhetoric which he is blatantly using. The "Let's all get along" thing isn't going to work this time. When people are cornered and they got nothing left to lose they are going to start killing each other. Lastly - Kaya on multiple occasions has said, "This is a comedy podcast, no politics" - well you slipped.
