I was confused as to why he even started doing the red thread in the first place since he announced he was pulling out of the bonus episodes of the OP. I assume he was more open about it to the crew but as a viewer, the way he went about it seems kind of unprofessional. IMO he should have stuck around for episode 400 and announced his leave on there. It would at least give some closure.

It's been a very interesting time as of late to say the least reading all sorts of opinions from the masses on here or YT about Charlie leaving the podcasts (for now) but there is one undeniable thing i tend to focus on as a whole. The Offical Podcast IS the 4 of yall, i've been listening for the past 3 years or so and i've always loved the dynamic yall have had with one another. He did clarify at the end of the stream, though. He explicitly stated that he thought Sneako was using hyperbole and didn't ACTUAL mean sex reassignment surgery. Sure, he could probably make a video clarifying that IF this is such a big issue for him. But the point is he HAS clarified his position. You do understand that gender affirming care includes things such as growing their hair out (or cutting it), picking which clothes they wear, and other things like gender expression right? Gender affirming care=/= surgery or hormones. Lastly, gender affirming care has nothing to do with children consenting or not. That's not how medical treatment works. For children with gender dysphoria, they would exhibit symptoms and characteristics of the disorder, parents would take them to a physician to be tested, and the doctor would diagnose them accordingly. The parents would then work with the doctor in figuring out what treatment would be best.

My final take on this is that I’m still here for the show, despite never really interacting with the community I’ve been a paying member pretty much since the patreon started and constant listener since episode 1 and this show has been in my ears in some of the longest car rides I’ve ever done, been in The background for me at almost all my jobs, and has been there just as background noise when I’m gaming or studying. Just writing this now to say “thanks” to the boys, as I work at 8 and likely won’t be able to call in as I thought I could before this. To more years and (hopefully) a return from Charlie one day!

I think if you are a fan of the show and watch it semi-consistently, you would quickly realize Charlie hasn’t really added a whole lot to any of the production/conversations for a while. I have no doubts some people might leave due to Charlie leaving, but I feel like that’s a pretty small subset nowadays. It also helps that they don’t post their content on Charlie’s channel anymore, so I imagine most of the people watching OP now are there for everyone, not just Charlie

I think most of us saw this day coming, but man I was not expecting it to happen right before the big 400. Charlie may of shown signs of burnout and disinterest as a host, but he was still main person who got us all watching this podcast. That's an awful comparison. Who's Right only has 2 hosts and Doug handles most of the work. Official has 4 hosts and Charlie contributed less than some if not all of his cohosts. Idk if this has anything to do with that Sneako debate or not.
