I second that. I really love the conspiracies, cults and real life mysteries. I don’t really care for cryptids (it’s kinda lame imo) and while the true crime episodes were ok so far, this one really hurt

2024-09-03 08:38:02 +0000 UTC
Yeah that also really messed with me. I can stand a lot but really teared up at some of the details, I only have godchildren but me heart breaks thinking someone could be as cold to take a kids life. We don’t have death penalty in my country but death penalty really is the only answer to such acts
m00str
2024-09-03 08:35:06 +0000 UTC
Yeah possible. It wouldn’t be the first case of something like that happening. Also her Mum would also probably know about it and someone who protects her husband while abusing their own child would also 100% protect their child after murdering their grandchild. Honestly the three Anthony’s all belong in jail anyways.

2024-09-03 08:28:40 +0000 UTC
I have never heard of this case (probably because I’m not from the USA) but god damn it how the fuck did all this happen? It’s clear as daylight that she murdered her daughter in cold blood, there is an excruciating amount of circumstantial evidence, a solid motive, evidence of the preparations of the murder, evidence of the discarding of her body, a never ending stream of lies to police, FBI and the court… And she was found NOT guilty? How hasn’t she been staked by a mob after all this? And the people at Netflix or whoever produced that documentary are just evil, degraded and deeply despicable human beings. They would probably also do a documentary about hitler claiming he didn’t do anything wrong. I am furious.

i remember being like 7-8 when this was going on my mom very deep into true crime, so I was up to date and still am on this case. This episode didn’t make me feel any different than the others 🤷🏻♀️it would be cool if you covered true crime more but I can see not everyone is comfortable with the topic.

I was ~7/8 during the trials. It's a core memory of my mom telling me and my sister she'd never stop loving us even if we killed someone, but she'd certainly not help us out of it. INB4 "mOm ShOuLdN't SaY tHaT" it was never weird or serious, always followed up with how sweet we were and she would never have to worry abt that lol.

Mr. Clarke - If you want a totally riveting case, like seriously knock your socks off please check out "The Staircase" https://www.netflix.com/title/80233441 it is an INCREDIBLE case. I guarantee you that Wendigoon may actually self combust and Oompaville may go into a permanent catatonic state.
I will admit, it's a little slow to move, but pain yourself through the first two episodes and it gets really intense. Just awful, I can't say more because it will ruin it if you want to be shocked.

There was a pretty decent documentary about Casey Anthony I think on Hulu or Netflix and I thought I knew everything about her case, but some of what you guys revealed was new information to me. Likewise, there was some stuff I don't think you covered (forgive me if I didn't hear it) where there were claims that Casey Anthony slept with her lawyer. She basically did whatever she could to use her looks to get her way. Truly awful person. Her good looks are wasted on her. At one point a company made an offer to her to do an adult film, then when they had backlash they retracted. Just disgusting all around. As someone who lives in Florida, I hate Florida and people like her are why. Just get away with murder, literally.

I'm not a true crime person so I watch this podcast because of the people on it but this episode is a bit too messed up compared to the others. Don't know why oj and this one felt way diffrent to me

Case suggestion: Robert Telles, a former publicly elected administrator who is currently being tried for the murder of Jeff German, an investigative reporter who wrote unflattering articles about Telles, causing him to lose his re-election and job.
Telles claims that he was framed by some corporation who he had financially slighted during his job as a public administrator. According to Telles defence, his Cloud account was hacked and someone planted google maps photos of Germans address on his phone, someone planted Telles DNA under Germans fingernails and someone planted similar attire work by the assailant, who was caught on surveilance cameras, in Telles home. The assailant also drove the exact make and model of Telles car, coincidentally.
There are mountains of evidence stacked against Telles, including tweets expressing his hatred towards German, who exposed his misconduct as a boss at his workplace, where he had an inappropriate relationship with a co-woker and created a hostile work environment. He also had a horrible injury on his hands where he pretty much sliced off half of his fingernail (German was found stabbed in his own back yard).
He is currently testifying to this conspiracy against him in his trial. The murder is very sad but his defence is so far-fetched it becomes entertaining.
Hopefully you’ll look it up, love to hear your takes on it :)

I don’t understand the people who requested this topic. I mean there’s no humor that can be interjected into it, it’s not some silly tale about warewolves or a crazy and engaging mystery, the boys are just left with going over the facts like a true crime documentary.

Casey Anthony pisses me off more than OJ or any other person who got away with murder. She was a person who lived without consequence her entire life and even after she murders her child continues to not only live without consequence but gets rewarded with a TV deal and enough fame to start an agency. This is beyond an abortion of justice it's proof justice in America is a pure joke.

Jackson’s partner cooked with this script; the boys made this super dark case educational, and brought levity when the episode needed it. With criminally stupid and red thread within the same 24 hours, we as the audience have been abosolutly feasting.
