It's not about the speed per-se, it makes the car feel more responsive and it's more efficient. When I do speed, it's on select roads that I scout ahead of time to ensure there won't be people around. As soon as I see headlights, it doesn't matter how far or what lane, I decelerate. For me, I like it because it's a way of expressing myself and connecting with a contraption that I have to spend a significant amount of my life in. If I have to spend countless hours going from A to B, I may as well have some fun doing it, as long as I am not interfering with anybody else. Not everyone is a red-lining muffler-deleting clown, most modded cars you wouldn't notice.

I'm a massive fan of the show but the first 30 minutes of this episode were an embarrassment. I don't expect to agree with you 100% of the time, nor would I expect you you to agree with all my takes. But writing off and entire culture of people because of 1% of them are wankers is absolutely ridiculous, especially when you guys have such an obviously surface level understanding of it. From straw-manning misinformed information in fabricated arguments to Comments like 'revving the tyres'. You guys are being just as abnoxious as people you criticise. Partially agree, but speeding existing doesn't make it right. Most people speed, car or bike. These people are special though. They are doing like 100mph OVER the federal speed limit. Not only is it like skydiving with a beach towel, it CAN AND WILL kill people. It means that, if they hit a car that's doing 80 (still speeding), that is a 100MPH impact. Enough to destroy the car and PLENTY to make it spin out. It CAN kill others, it no doubt has. It's great that you're a biker, respectable hobby, but no reason to defend these people.

Whether a character is meant to be attractive or not, the fundamental rules of character design are consistent. Concord’s characters go well beyond being unattractive. They are actively unappealing on a level that can be scientifically studied. It’s like their artists went out of their way to violate as many basic rules on color theory and visual design as possible. There are hour long video essays on YouTube about how fundamentally their designs fail across the board from an artistic perspective. They are a masterclass on what not to do when designing a character if you want them to be even remotely interesting to look at.

The road I live on has these idiots on motorcycles flying down it at 100mph every night, even though I live in a residential area, it's infuriating. They only do it here because the road itself is long, but I've seen them almost hit children coming down the path because they swerve onto the pavement and everything. I was walking down the road the other day and saw police outside a house putting these same bikes onto an impound truck with the owners arguing why they were being taken away. btw the reason cars in america are so huge is a 2008 epa regulation that required manufacturers to make cars more gas efficient with the exception of larger vehicles that wouldn't be able to conform to that standard (like semi trucks), so in response companies just made cars bigger instead of more efficient to avoid the tax penalty lmao

There's a stretch of highway near me that got reduced speed from 70mph to 45mph because of jackass motorcyclists kept causing accidents from either racing or doing dumb shit like weaving or trying to show off.
