Want to get a feedback check for how the show(s) themselves are doing in your minds these last two months (ever since the 400th Episode). We're seeing a lot of positive feedback, and we ourselves feel like the last two months of episodes have been some of our best episodes in recent years and I also feel we've been consistently getting the episodes out early enough for there to be good value there for Patreon members, but generally speaking we wanted to get some thoughts overall about how we're doing so leave whatever thoughts you have below (and if you're not enjoying the shows, for whatever reason, that's totally fine too! Let us know why)!
Bonus episodes will be returning soon for patreon members, starting sometime next week. Currently designing three other series that should start to premiere throughout the end of the year as well. Will keep you all posted.

2024-10-07 02:30:10 +0000 UTCI disagree, respectfully. Charlie brought a very different outlook and perspective to certain topics, however, I think Jackson takes on that kind of role as well. There's plenty of arguments that are 2 v 1 (Kaya & Andrew v Jackson) for examples in this and in past episodes, it seemed like Jackson and Charlie were on the same page on a lot of topics.

And it seems like they're slowly seeping into the OP episodes as well. I also look at it like, that's kind of the point of Criminally Stupid anyway though. I can avoid those episodes if I want too.

And I don't know if Andrew is simply uninterested or if his schedule doesn't allow, etc etc etc. But I'd LOVE to see him get his own new show or at the very least appear as an occasional guest on the existing shows. And my wishlist item would be Charlie appearing as guest once on the main card. His send off felt lackluster. Would be cool to get a proper clip show, reminiscent send off of a main host from the very very beginning

2024-10-04 05:18:57 +0000 UTCWhile I'll agree that he was getting dull (not him as a person, just in the podcast) and it felt like he didn't want to be there at a certain point, he did always bring a nice perspective and voice of reason to the table. The guys these days will sometimes take weird opinions and just kinda run with them unchecked. Even though he was past his prime (in terms of the podcast specifically)... he was always there to lasso the guys in. He's a smart dude. That's not to say the others aren't (they are) but I think he kinda comes from a much different place psychologically, and that perspective hasn't been replaced, it's just completely void now.

I'm not throwing accusations out but as of recent I feel like the show takes itself a lot less seriously and struggles to get through the topic at hand. It used to feel like the main point of it was to thoroughly cover a topic with a straight face, with perhaps a side of fun commentary and casual conversation. Now it feels like sort of a self-centered talk show where you're forced to get through a topic before it ends. I'm sorry if this comes off harsh. I really like you guys. I don't have any SUPER specific complaints about the OP, it's still chugging along just fine and I'm always left wishing I could have it on all day every day, though I wish it had more nuance. I think coming to the table with more topics is the solution here, as the episodes have lacked like... energy lately. They've felt sleepy. As for criminally stupid, obviously the range of what can be covered here is pretty slim by default which leads to some samey-ness, but I can't complain too much as it's a very casual podcast anyway, and I think the whole focus of it is shitting on deplorable, unforgivable, or downright stupid people rather than covering a case. So I'm totally fine with it. I genuinely hope this feedback helps even though it's probably too late. And again I'm a supporter here (who genuinely does like all of the podcasts as a whole) not someone just trying to bring you down or talk shit out of hate. :)

I know you are at the will of your editors, but at least for the main show they seem to drop spuractially and no set day (one week it's a Friday, another is Saturday, another is a Wednesday, etc) Just pick a day please. This is for the patreon posting. 2. This is just me, but I stopped listening to Criminally Stupid because the chat logs reading got too much to handle, and seem to take up the whole episode. If it changed, someone can let me know. But I would like it if maybe you only pick the crucial ones to read. If people love it then nevermind, don't listen to me lol. Just my two cents. Thank you for everything and hopes this help. Sorry if it sounded to complainy.

I know a lot of people started listening because of Charlie but personally, before ep. 400, the energy he was bringing was quite... dull. It kind of felt like he didn't want to be here and that's okay. The show for me has gotten 10x better and I look forward to having this to listen to at work and share with my husband. He doesn't really enjoy any podcasts but he will listen to this. :)

A 4th would be fun to see but I’d fear it might disrupt the feel that we’ve always gotten from you 3, although some guest episodes would be fun to see from time to time again. My only big gripe of the main show is how some of the recent episodes have had some super visual/video driven segments and I know for me as well as many others only really listen to the show while driving or working which are the 2 times we really can tune in and watch and I’d personally really like if you guys were to keep those segments to a minimum. Very excited for the return of bonus episodes

I’d also like to say that this is y’all’s content, and I’m just a guy who likes funny hehe fart Australia joke. First off, I think the official podcast is probably the best it’s been in a while. It was never bad, and sure I miss Charlie’s input sometimes, but y’all seem to really be in stride and happy with what you’re doing. It feels much more organized, but with still enough room to chase tangents and do silly improv. Up next for criminally stupid, I think it too is the best it’s been. The restructure y’all did actually introduced me to the show, and I really like the episodes where y’all dive into the depths that YouTube or online criminals sink to. The TCAP episodes are funny as always, but I think the show really shines with episodes like EDP, or Austin Jones. It’s fantastic, and I’m glad y’all are actually getting sponsors every now and again on it ;) Red Thread is, as always, so good. Oompa had slid in perfectly, and it seems that everything is kinda getting back in the swing of things. My only real complaint is that sometimes y’all dive off into funny haha time when previous episodes were much more central to the subject of the episode. Don’t get me wrong, I love all yalls jokes and tangents, but they also end up running a bit too long sometimes. I understand that changing hosts will always change the dynamic, but I feel that focusing more on the mysteries than haha Australia is the best way to go. The Casey Anthony and Circleville Letters episodes really had me by the balls sometimes, I never knew what bombshell was going to go off next; while on the other hand, respectfully, parts of the most recent episode “the ant hill kids” can feel a bit scatterbrained at times. The jokes don’t feel disrespectful or anything, however, I do think they take a little bit away from the impact that topics like this have sometimes. I still love this show, I listen constantly on the road or at work, I only wish the best for it. Overall, these shows are fantastic; ever since the Official Channel was made, y’all have popped the fuck off. Much love to all of you, and happy birthday to Jackson’s Partner, thanks for making such quality content Also do more cryptid Grab-Bag episodes, they’re so funny :)

I'd rather them just be able to talk freely without fear of upsetting expert from topic A,B, and C. I'm in the health field and despite them getting so much wrong with scientific papers to any biological process I don't take it to heart and neither should anyone else.

(And I mean that in the nicest most constructive way possible) I think the energy has been higher recently and I have been enjoying it just as much IF not a tad more than in the last year or so. Having Caleb joining in the red thread brings a fun chaotic energy to the show as well. Charlie's departure from the shows was an unexpected turn but you all have managed to maintain a positive vibe and direction for all of the projects under the Official umbrella.

It seems like you're not really valuing audio only listeners like you used to. I remember back in the early days you guys would stray away from visual content as much as possible because it wasn't good for an audio podcast. Show is still good, it's just a little annoying when half the episode is you guys watching or looking at something I can't see.

The quizzes you have been playing have been fun (I loved Andrew's this most recent episode the most) but I think they might get old soon if you do them every episode. But when they are about something one of you is especially passionate about (like In Andrew's case) it shines through

Andrew seems more energetic, the fun little game shows are coming back here and there, and generally just much more enjoyable to listen to. I wasn’t a huge Andrew hater by any means, but I did feel there were periods where he would hardly contribute to the episode. The past two months he has really been involved in conversation and has been doing great with adding some fun energy. There’s still things I disagree with him on, but the past two months has still felt fun from him.

I think it started when Red Tread started but everyone on the Podcast just seems to be having more fun especially since episode 400. Not having Charles was hard to get use to at first but I think you guys have good chemistry without him. I think the only thing I can say I would like to see more from the Official Podcast is more frequent guest episodes even just having more friends of the show on angin would be fun like Wendogoon, Opmpaville, Mr sark, Doug, Ray and James to name a few. Not saying it it has to be a weekly thing just more than once every few months maybe once a month at least. I've liked Red Tread since it came out and I think Oompaville is a good addition to the podcast but I personally still think I liked Charles more sadly. I think he joked around more even when the topics were darker and that kept it more lighthearted. Now without Charlie it feels like everyone wants to be the straight man which makes the more dark topic you guys cover feel darker. That being said can't wait for the next one. Criminally stupid had been a great time since it's started and I think it's the perfect blend of black comedy. I can't wait until they next episode with a non TCAP person on it or another Baited log episode. also having Andrew or Wendigoon on en episode to bash a preatder would be fun. I think this new era is fun and I can wait to see what's next for the show.

My only suggestion would be to also put up the video versions on patreon now that you're more reliant on visuals in the episodes, since it feels a little pointless to get the audio a week early but then miss out on what is happening for half of the episode. But i also understand that the video can take a little longer to finish and get out than just the audio.

My only real critique is that I would like to see more guests (if not a new fourth host ) on the main Podcast, maybe bring back an old fan favorite, or reach out to someone you haven’t worked with yet. The only other Podcast I regularly listen to (and the only other Patreon I support) is General Sam’s Forehead Fables, it’d be neat to see Sam come on, or even if y’all could snag Poob as a guest sometime.

Criminally stupid is normally fun making fun of criminals that deserve it. The most recent red thread I didn't really like because it was a more depressing story and didn't have any mystery or conspiracy behind it. Other than that i enjoyed the most recent episodes with Oompaville on. For the Offical podcast I enjoyed recently I just don't like the more visual stuff as I'm an audio listener who listens durning work. I would also like to see more guest episodes like once every few months just to change it up a little. It doesn't have to be anyone specific or famous even if it's just like a friend or discord mod or someone like that just to change up the show a little bit. Other than that I think the show has improved and has more energy recently. For a while it seemed like the hosts didn't enjoy doing the show and were just here out of obligation but now it feels like all of you have been enjoying it more. Keep up the good work. Excited for bonus episodes to come back!

I have a job where I can usually listen to podcasts while I work, but I only have a few shows that I actually enjoy so I end up re-listening through old catalogues every year or two. Started The Official Podcast from the beginning some months ago, in order (including the old pre-post shows), and early era Andrew had an almost manic crazy energy that I loved that naturally faded away over 7 years of doing the same show. And I know about a year ago he expressed feeling a bit tired of it. But since Charlie left, Andrew’s energy has been radically increasing, and I’m loving it.

RaccoonEggs is a weird one i come back to a lot, you guys had GREAT chemistry and that episode is defintely peak masturbation talk to me. and finally, the Ludwig episode is one i go back to a lot. hope this helped in some way, keep it up boys! always ready to tune into the official minecraft podcast

I was curious has to how it would evolve with Charlie's departure, and I don't think youve missed a beat. In fact-maybe its just me-it does feel like your a bit more open on topics you talk about. It did feel like before like there was a bit if holding back. I do like that Andrew seems to be a lot more vocal lately almost like ild episodes. He also seemed like he was more quiet for awhile. Whether you like or dislike Andrew, I personally think its better when hes passionate (dont know if that's the word Im looking for) about a topic, because he brings energy. The only critique I have is what others have said and that there's has been a handful of visual things which may not translate for some listeners. Im usually good at being able to picture it well when described, like Jackson's rugby trip. (Watching that back was pretty much what I pictured). I really enjoy Criminally Stupid just for how well Jackson and Kaya (I find it lame to say, but....) vibe with each other. They have a good dynamic together, and it definitely has shown over the last few years. Only reason I could stand to watch the Halo TV series was because of them. If you can, more watch-alongs hesr and there would be fun. I dont have much ro say about Red Thread unfortunately...I apologize. I mainly listen to episodes where Im familiar with the topic. I liked them though. Hopefully you guys can keep going for awhile longer and enjoy making the content. Fans can definitely tell when the creator starts to loose interest. That being said I really appreciate all the hard work everyone puts in for these podcasts, I really enjoy them and I know I lot of other people do too. It makes my drive to work bearable it’s like a little teleportation glitch cause I’m immersed into the conversation. Love you guys!

Reminds me of the older episodes with the guess the theme song game - things we like corner needs to be a permanent staple again. It adds something new to the show that isnt concurrent media or topics. - fuck that satan dude in the comments - red thread is still good - podophiles is fun and my favourite. Keen for 2025

I have kind of stopped watching the podcast, but I do tune in when an ep title interests me; I don't really like Redthreads just isn't my thing, but I love Criminally Stupid, I kinda prefer the whole just friends hanging out and talking about a topic with some structure to it rather than a completely full on a researched show about random folklore, so maybe more allowing organic conversations to go on more rather than just jumping from talking point to talking point in the doc but that's probably just me love the stuff keep it up
