In one story, women are torturing and killing Slakoth, so a Slaking captures an impregnates one. Her friends kill her child and she commits suicide over it. In another one, Typhlosion kidnaps a girl, bashes her on the head when she talks about her family, impregnates her, ir going to kill her father, and then instead dies to her father. I also haven't seen anyone claiming it to be super explicit, just people saying Pokephilia is now canon. It IS just Japanese yokai myths changed slightly to be about pokemon, but it's still wild that they considered it.

The quality and vibe of the show have really improved for me.

2024-10-21 00:40:04 +0000 UTCAs one of the few My Little Pony fans in the audience, I just want to say Gen 5 tried to do a continuation of Gen 4, but in the distant future. None of the other Gens were connected (I've watched all of them lol). This would have been really cool if executed well. But for whatever reason, Hasbro fucked it up so bad. There were tons of plotholes because they didn't make sense in the context of this being in the same universe as Gen 4, and just so many unexplained/unaddressed questions about what happened between gen 4 and gen 5 that fans just generally got fed up. There was a whole slew of other problems with the show, such as how they designed the shows and the art style choices, but that was the overarching problem for sure. As someone who is vocal about my enjoyment of the series, I still see MLP content all over my social medias (fanart, OCs, fan animations, etc), but I'm sure that's just my little tailored algorithm and for most other people, MLP doesn't even show up on their radars at all anymore like it did when Gen 4 first came out.
