Official.Men - Out Now

We recently talked about our new membership website in a post here on Patreon, followed by saying it would be out during November. Well, in Official fashion, it got delayed. But it is out now, though. Information below.

What is it?

The website is our new membership hub where supporters of our shows can sign up to receive early ad-free access to the series, as well as receive other benefits. The site is intended to be an alternative to Patreon but not mandatory, as in you can either sign up on Patreon or Official.men but it's not necessary to sign up on both.

Why you should use the membership platform?

You should use the site if you think the user experience looks better on the website. You're functionally getting the same content as here on Patreon, but the experience on the website should be better. On the website, you get the same early and ad-free content, the archives of old / bonus episodes and also merchandise discounts. On top of that, you get discord access and relevant RSS feeds. The website also has an app download for mobile phones (iOS and Android) so that you can listen to or watch the show easily through there. More details below about the user experience.

As a Patreon member, do I get a discount?

We wanted to ensure all of our Patrons had a chance to try the membership website out free of charge so that they can make their own choices about which website they want to keep using. For December, when signing up to your Official.men account use code PATREONPROMO to get your month of membership for completely free. Be aware that you might get charged next month (January).

Are there other discounts?

Yes, to celebrate the launch, new members can get 20% off annual memberships throughout the rest of 2024. Otherwise, all monthly subscriptions are 50% off for the first month as well. On top of that, as a benefit for subscriptions, you can get 10% - 15% off our merchandise depending on type of membership.

What are the membership options?

We offer an all-access membership that is exactly the same as here on Patreon. This includes access to all of our series as well as a larger discount to merchandise. This is $5 a month, the same as on Patreon. We also offer individual memberships to each of the shows if you'd prefer to only support an individual show. Keep in mind that you only get the benefits for that show. This comes with a slight discount at $4 a month.

Can you explain the user experience in more detail?

I can show you instead. In the above picture, you'll see your membership feed. This is available in the "members only" section of the website, available when you're logged into your account at the top of the screen. This is essentially your content feed. You'll be able to sort EASILY at the top of the feed by certain filters as well as show tags and there is an easy to use search tool. For example, you can select video to only show our video uploads.

For those who want to explore their perks, connect their accounts to discord or maybe use the RSS feed with their podcasting apps of choice, you can navigate over to the "perks" area of your account to see an easy to digest and easy to use list of your perks.

Finally, you can also download an app when accessing the official.men through a mobile browser (on iOS and Android). When accessing the site, while logged in, you will see an app download prompt. Simply click download and log-in and you'll be able to access the website and your perks and your feed through the app instead. It's super easy and the app makes the experience even better. You'll receive push notifications about new posts, you'll have access to audio background playback as well as airplay & chromecast compatibility. I highly recommend downloading the app and giving it a try!

... and finally, merch!

Our first merchandise drop is now also available through the website. We'll be adding more merchandise to the site in drops over the next year for all of our series if this one is successful. Members on the membership website get 10% - 15% off (depending on their membership status). Patreon members also get 15% off merchandise and we'll post a monthly discount code to apply to get your discount as well if you don't make the move over to the new website.

In conclusion, we have a new membership website. You should go try it. Official.men. While you can use either platform (don't subscribe on both as you're still getting functionally the same content), I highly recommend trying out the new platform to see what it's like!
