2025-03-18 06:41:45 +0000 UTCI mean I don't make things I like my entire personality and I'm not annoyed by flaws being pointed out. What I do find annoying is when the "flaws" make no sense. Take RDR2, for example. It's a game where you play as a member of a gang as he watches his gang slowly fall apart. So how is it bad or a flaw when the story missions are about doing gang things? Even his confusion on why Balatro is so popular doesn't make sense when he keeps trying to compare it to Candy Crush or Bejeweled, which are completely different types of games altogether

This game with this gameplay loop had that gameplay loop, it's so boring and bad!" Like wtf, do you wanna be killing goblins and trolls in RDR2 or Ghost? Ghost has a lot of flaws and he just harps on the lamest one lmfao Also I can't speak on Forbidden West, but the first Horizon game was genuinely good. The story was alright, the gameplay was fun, the world was beautiful and fun to explore, and the Lore felt like a realistic path.

2025-03-07 15:09:42 +0000 UTCTo be fair, Andrew and Kaya’s complaints about Horizon are things you can change and turn off in the settings. I’ve changed them in my playthroughs. There’s even an option for you to turn off Aloy’s animation of grabbing materials from the ground and harvesting sticks.

Like yeah it is boring if you just shoot everyone on your horse and run along but there's so many things you can do. You can stealth with knives, hatches, freaking pirate sword, all having their own stealth assassination animations. You can throw all these weapons as well which is crazy satisfying, along with variations like fire hatchets, homing hatchets. You can use a shotgun and they explode, or you can blow off limbs and watch them squirm around. You can use a repeater and take out a whole bunch of people, you can go sniping from a distance, you can dual weild revolvers or single weild it and then it does a cool hip fire animation. There's a modern pistol unlocked later on so you can be a cowboy with basically a glock. You can use a bow and arrow which is really satisfying as well as like a greater challenge than gun combat and rad as hell to just be Hawkeye taking out a whole armed bandit camp in a firefight. You can shoot fire arrows, dynamite arrows, poison arrows and watch them die of septic shock. There's a really satisfying Melee combat system where you can punch, counter, grapple, choke, tackle. You can have Melee knife fights, you can shoot them in the kneecaps and they have to crawls and limp around, you can shoot them in the arm and they drop their weapon and switch to a pistol, you can dual weild freaking sawed off shotguns, you can lasso enemies and yank them off their horse, drag them behind your horse, lure bears to the bandit camp and watch it massacre everyone. Guys got no creativity if he thinks red dead is just run up shoot everything and leave I know jackson gotta call him out on this
