Jorden lets them talk it out then steps in and gives his opinion on the reason people watch family vlogs which is the best one in the room that children like seeing others get punished (same with parents so it justifies their punishment seeing other families do the same, they feel balanced like you do watching a karma video and for children they want to see others punished ins a more sadistic sense) but I'll also add normal people will also watch the toxic family vlogs to make themselves feel better just like lolcows but less extreme and they don't have the internet knowledge to know of all the stereotypes that come with lolcow culture like alogging or not "feeding them" through engagement. Watching family vlogs is a form of Voyeurism that's more socially acceptable so people that wouldn't normally have access to it now, people with family and no online knowledge or cultural reference aren't looking up anything you're looking up and YT uses algorithms to make it a point to separate normal people from the internet you experience and they're less online. Shit looking up lolcows is also a form of voyeurism and in this case it is likely sad people who are lonely or people who just are into family, diy projects, farming content. When they look up youtube on their freetime they get a completely different world then you do, there's tons of normal people who are still into ancient alien lizard people content 12 years later because they don't spend as much time online as you or me. There are a lot of pedos probably watching those videos but how much are they getting booked marked in comparison to the population? I mean 10 or more bookmarks is way too much. More so I lean on Jorden's theory.

2025-08-21 17:56:03 +0000 UTCI had oxycodon prescribed after a recent surgery. took it when it was bad for the few days after but when it was more manageable just ibuprofen or whatever. Kinda slowed down my pov. Hard to explain but just a slight background elevation if that makes sense. I never really craved it but I was careful about it. I’m sure it’s much more compounding if you take it a lot like this guy

Not sure if this is the best place for a topic suggestion box but figured I’d throw it out there. I recently learned about The Ice Box Murders — took place in my backyard apparently! Charles Rogers was this super smart and accredited guy who got a degree in nuclear physics and worked in oil & gas. Then he snapped and killed both his parents. The case got the name b/c he stuffed them in the ice box afterwards. But he just vanished into thin air. People speculate he used his piloting skills to go to Central America. There’s even a conspiracy he’s one of the shooters in the JFK assassination! A mix of true crime and conspiracy that I think could be fun to discuss. Thanks again all!
