I could be miss remembering, but i assume he didn't want to risk Alana seeing his person suit slip or he didn't want Will questioning why his spells didn't effect Hannibal

The fear of wolves bit is Hannibalโs way of asking Will not to let her know. The protections Will put up probably either would stop Hannibal from entering or might reveal his true form. Or not, we donโt know how powerful Hannibal is. He might just be pretending that the wards are a hindrance to make Will think heโs less dangerous than he actually is. ๐คทโโ๏ธ Either way, itโs a good play on his part, it would make Will feel further camaraderie with Hannibal. Damn, I love this comic so much ๐ญ The build up is simply AMAZING. ๐ค
