2025-02-04 18:24:08 +0000 UTCYeah the Kibito Kai fusion thing is a big inconsistency between Daima and Battle of Gods/Super. Interested to see how/if theyβll try to explain it. There have been many major plot holes in DB before, but the defusing of Potara fusions is probably the biggest inconsistency. Toriyama changed his mind about its rules 3 times. My guess is that they wonβt address it and youβll just have to treat it as a soft-retcon (pretend the Kais have always been defused even in Battle of Gods). Kinda like how at the start of the Android saga, Trunks explicitly warns about Androids 19 and 20, but in later chapters it was soft-retconned to be 17 and 18 and you have to pretend that inconsistency never existed. But I mean Daima didnβt end yet, so thereβs a possibility theyβll fuse again. Who knows
